Dr. Ralf Holzer is the Chief of the Division of Pediatric Cardiology and Director of Pediatric Cardiac Catheterization at NewYork-Presbyterian Komansky Children's Hospital. He is Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at Weill Cornell Medicine. Dr. Holzer received his medical degree from the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz in Germany. He completed his residency training in Germany and the United Kingdom, and his cardiology fellowship training at the Royal Liverpool Children's Hospital in the UK, including an advanced fellowship in transcatheter interventions at the University of Chicago Children's Hospital. Subsequently he worked as a consultant at the Royal Liverpool Children's Hospital in the UK (2004-05), co-director of the cath lab at Nationwide Children's Hospital in Ohio (2005-14), and cath lab director and acting division chief at Sidra Medicine in Doha, Qatar (2014-17), until his departure to Weill Cornell New York in May 2017.
